MC14582B Look-Ahead Carry Block
The MC14582B is a CMOS look-ahead carry generator capable of anticipating a carry across four binary adders or groups of adders. The device is cascadable to perform full look-ahead across n-bit adders. Carry, generate-carry, and propagate-carry functions are provided as enumerated in the pin designation table shown below. * * * * * * Expandable to any Number of Bits All Buffered Outputs Low Power Dissipation Diode Protection on All Inputs Supply Voltage Range = 3.0 Vdc to 18 Vdc Capable of Driving Two Low-power TTL Loads or One Low-Power Schottky TTL Load over the Rated Temperature Range

This device contains protection circuitry to guard against damage due to high static voltages or electric fields. For proper operation, Vin and Vout should be constrained to the range VSS (Vin or Vout) VDD. Unused inputs must always be tied to an appropriate logic voltage level (e.g., either VSS or VDD). Unused outputs must be left open.
